Active until Eighty One
57Eighty one not Eighteen:
Just like the weather changes from hot to cold, or from raining to freezing. So is the weather of our lives. Although the weather changes more frequently and our lives changes slower from year to year. In our earlier years we are more likely to play harder and work harder to achieve our goals. Staying healthy is something we take for granted. This energy can not be storage up or bottle for a later time. The more we stay active during then these early years. The more our bodies prepare to reach the upper years.
Fear set in between thirty-nine and forty. Gray hairs, wrinkles, weight gain and dark spots appear over night. You see the changes coming, yet you defend this process by adding chemical to your face and skin. You begin to exercise once again and your body seems to take on the course slower than you remember a few years ago. The faster you walk and run the more you become exhausted in the long run. Little things start to happen requiring you to see the doctor more at age fifty than at any other time in your life. Making another thirty years is possible.
With all that your body has been through the first eighty years you stay active! You realized that the LORD’S blessing has shower you with many opportunities. Now you are still able to tie your own shoes, even though it is taking a lot longer to perform this simple task.
Within one more year you reflex back on your life and for some reason you see a youthful person of eighteen instead of the eighty-one year old that you should be. Dressing younger suit your taste, you still have those hips that would fit in a size six pants or dress combination. You see yourself with darker hair maybe adding some extension to improve your length. The hand held mirror want served the purpose. You need another mirror to see all what you are missing. Your grandkids are the first to say you are looking fine at eighty-one. That set the stage for you to hit the town looking for younger men to say how beautiful you look and may I buy you a drink. In the back of your mind you are saying I am old enough to be you grandmother. Yet, you except his offer.
The next morning, you wake at a quarter pass twelve. What was on is now off lying across the bed. You body reactive to the all night fling, by allowing you a few more than hours than you normally sleep. The joints and neck stuffiness all played they part this morning waking you up in pain.
Staying active until eighty-one is a long life achievement. But trying to live your life, like it was when your were eighteen years over again is a factor you can do without.

Being 81, shouldn't stop you from having fun, live life to the fullest but with in certain limits.
