Tell Them
51Tell them this story must continue to be told.
It will never grow old. Row by Row
You heard it before. Born in a small
Town, my parents took care of me.
No matter how many brothers or
Sisters where there we collectively
Had chores. We was sent to school
Did our homework and more chores
To do, my parents raised us all to
Do just that.
I moved on got married. Started
My on family they call on me for
Everything it was a blessing to have
Them all, I gave them chores. Sent
Them to school just like my parents
Did for me, too. It was work for me.
Tell them am blessed even more. I have
Children, grandchildren, great grandchildren
And great-great grandchildren that they
Bring home to me. Give the chores,
So they will have hope. Hope for all
My branches and leaves.
Tell them this story must continue to
Be told because it the moment when
Life begin, it’s a work that progress
Throughout the year and even during
The highs and the lows you are still
Able to reach your goals, arguments
Happen to make you wiser. Yet an
Unforgivable times makes you smile
Or laugh out loud. (LOL)
First step and last steps are what you
Teach a child. It’s the hurricanes, it’s
The Storms, it’s the last of your rainy
Day funds.
It’s Love when it is stated.
And I love you all when it’s gone.
Tell them this story must go on and on
