True Fathers

One thing you will notice in our society, women out number men. Yet we know that biblically men has been here longer than women. As the population continued to grow men are faced with many obstacles that keep them from reaching their full potential in society.

From boys to men we are taught to be tough and not to cry. While still maintaining our identity toward being a true man.

What is the difference between a true man and a true father? A true man is a boy in bigger clothes, they see themselves and their manhood challenged everyday through peer pressure. One quick example would be the boys in public or private school acting out (playing) more than the girls do in the same school. Many of those boys find their notch in schools and continue to act out when they become men. They are the tough guys in our society. These tough guys spend more time in the jailed house or as prisoner, where they are separate from their families and society.

However, there are men in our society who we elect to the highest office in our country, they become power hunger and greedy men still filling the shoes of a true man.

We select men to oversee the flock. They get involve with so many deeds they become fallen sheep who do not want to give up their position as the overseer.

We educate them to seek the teaching opportunity or coaching our kids to successful sports of greater magnitude. It like taking the baby bottles from the boys and handing them a game ball. Telling them they have a chance to be one of the greatest athletic in the world. Then when they reaches this top status, they fall to address how to read a contact, how to budget or maintain what they have. Yet, we tie them down with more rules and regulations that they are unable to mix and mingle or mentor our kids. They are still true man involve in our society.

Sometimes they hit such a low spot in life, they are found hugging the street corners in our neighborhoods. They rushing over to put there head in the car window to drop a bag in the car, for a cash return to keep them going. Late, that night the FIVE O bring their business to a halt, with silver bullets and a hairline trigger pointed at their head. Then they wonder what did they do wrong stand on this corner.

Have you every seen the smiles on the package store operator who is in the progress of stacking the alcohol, liquid, beer and wine on the shelves. He is preparing for the Friday night men, cashing their checks. Then making purchases by the can, the six packs, 12 packs, or a keg to go. If you where to ask the operator of the package store, they would tell you that would never close there business. Because they know that men will return time and time again to cash their checks and purchase something in the store. Yet, they are true men in our society keeping they business alive, not worrying about the outcome of our true men.

It is not enough to lock a true man up for years and our outside society allows them to drink and get drunk to the point of intoxication. Intoxication is still an invisible bar locking them up on the inside, with too many health problems for years to come. These are a few examples of true men wearing bigger clothes. They represent a true man and some represent fathers, who chose their life style too early that, there is no return for them.

These men above are not true fathers. However, they do out number the true fathers in our society.

Here’s WHY! A TRUE FATHER knows his position among a populated society, where he is out number. He is a problem solver for his family needs and that makes him respected and more mature as he cares for his family. He is a citizen and keeps his biblical life strong and his family life is stronger because of him. He shows respect everywhere he goes and encourages his son or daughter to do the same. He works, come home and enjoy family night with his family. He is a corrector when needed. He is a good example to the neighborhood, spending time to volunteer or mentor other kids in the area. He has fun with what he does and patient when there is a crisis. That’s why there are a few good and true fathers in our society. I hope you are one of them.

Happy Father’s Day.
