Unwanted Diploma
By dixoncircle
Have you every just sit down and thought about the number of decision you make in life each and everyday. I would say that 99.9 % of people living on this global world has never sit down and use a calculator to figure out how many decision can one person make in one day, one week, one month or one year. It is something that we just don’t care to find out.
One of the first big decisions that we make in our life starts in high school. That decision is whether or not we want to get our high school
Diploma, here is an estimated rate of the number of dropout by groups:
Three out of ten, white students who are high school aged are dropouts.
Six out of ten, black students who are high school aged are dropouts.
Eight out of 10 Hispanic students who are high school aged are dropouts.
These students made their first decision before high school was completed and many of these students live with that decision to this very day. However, the flip side of this coin is also an alarming fact:
Those who graduate from high school, as white student’s only three of them go to college.
Those who graduate from high school, as black student’s only two of them go to college.
Those who graduate from high school, as Hispanic students only one of them go to college.
Yet, this is not an alarming to you it should be. Decisions that are made now require another decision later. That decision at a later time could reflect the decision of our under twenty one group of people, who are limited to the knowledge and the structure of our cities, states and our country ability to move forward with leaders who can master the art of holding office.
Their decision maybe reflect their ability to purchase technology or signing a contact for an employee for a minimal wage job at a fast-food restaurants who are advancing to a higher technology of running their business.
Here is the catch all of making this decision at an early aged, (not to get your high school diploma). While walking around with technology in your hand and trying to reach the next level of software that has been produce by someone who have graduate with technology skills. Is now elevating them to a higher level of pay. You are left behind with your head buried in your video game and still not able to win or beat the software that is located inside the game.
Beating the highest score reveals that your ability to achieve the higher score is only set for a limited time and someone comes alone and takes you off the mantled. Now all that hard work that could have been applied to achieving your high school diploma. That unwanted diploma after a year of making all kinds of decision is now questioning your decision of why you did not go back to complete your high school diploma or get your GED.
