"When it gets here!"

A second is like a minute:

A hour is like a day,

A month is like a year.

A decade is a generation.

Who knows when it gets here!

The 50’s and 70’s were boomers,

The 80’s and 90’s were out of sight.

The turn of another century was Y2K.

10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, brings the

year 2010 in, you just wait till it gets here.

Laughter, joy, excitement, tears.

Cold in one spot, and warm in another.

People hugging to start the New Year time.

Who knows when it gets here!

In that moment a prayer went up across the

wide open sea.

A second later, became a joy to see. The

Hour rolled around and the crowd could see.

A new day, a new month waiting just for me.

If ten is half of twenty. Twenty is twice as big a ten.

Then 2010, we will be doubling our cheers

when it gets here!
